The Centre Ice Sportsplex

About Centre Ice

The dream for an arena first began 13 years ago with the first architectural drawings and finally became a reality when the Centre Ice Sportsplex opened to rave reviews in October of 2006. From pouring the first concrete footing to skating on ice in just over FIVE months is unheard of in the industry! With the lack of local ice time the community focused and sports-minded Biffis family, made the decision to build the arena. The arena was equipped with all the necessary infrastructure to expand to a double pad. The expansion was completed in December 2007. The Nottawasaga Resort is now the only resort in Canada to offer 45 holes of golf, a 70,000 sq ft Indoor Recreation Centre and now Arena with 2 NHL size ice surfaces!

The Centre Ice Sportsplex arena features:

  • 2 NHL size professional quality ice surfaces
  • Twelve oversized change rooms with in-floor heating
  • Integrated coaches rooms
  • Stadium seating
  • VIP Box Suites
  • Breakaway Sports Bar
  • Multipurpose Room
  • Ladies & Men’s recreational hockey leagues
