Reaching Goals, Touching Lives!

(Alliston, Ontario - July 2009) Unbelievable...The Nottawasaga Foundation’s 17th Annual Golf Tournament, Dinner & Auction Fundraiser met the event's expectations once again and raised $294,000.70 in the one day fundraiser on Friday, July 17, 2009.

This brings the total amount raised in the history of the event to more than $2.9 Million Dollars ($2,912,713.70 to be exact!).

This year’s event included:

• 97 Ladies in the 9 Hole Golf Tournament with Afternoon Spa Package
• 330 Golfers in the 18 hole Open Golf Tournament (held on all 45 holes)
• 700 Guests attended the Dinner
• 190 Live and Silent Auction items

• 231 Hole Sponsors
• 5 Hole in One chances for a New Car
• 5 Hole in One chances to split $30,000 Cash
  ($15,000. to the winner, $15,000 donated to the Foundation)
• Over $7,000.00 in golf prizes

"It was another extraordinary day" said tournament organizers. "The course was in excellent condition, the barbeque lunch was fantastic, the putting contest and all of the day's scheduled events were all extremely successful, and despite the late day storm there was some great golf too!

Including a hole-in-one shot on the 9th hole made by Josh Ford of CIMCOE Refridgeration! This once in a lifetime shot won the lucky golfer and the Foundation a $15,000 prize for each. In the 17-year history of the fundraising event, no golfer has ever shot a hole-in-one.

The hole was sponsored by Aviva Insurance and Masters Insurance.

The success continued into the evening with a spectacular buffet dinner for 700 guests while Master of Ceremonies, our very own, Peter Biffis, entertained the crowd. Over 231 live and silent auction items offered a wide variety of products to bid on, tournament and special hole winners were announced and wrapping up the evening, a raffle draw for the first prize $1500.00 travel voucher, sponsored by Peter & Pam Biffis."
