LOCAL CHARITY EVENT
RAISES $351,000.00 IN ONE DAY!

Reaching Goals, Touching Lives!

It was an incredible day! The Nottawasaga Foundation's 25th Annual Golf Tournament, Dinner & Auction Fundraiser raised over $351,000.00 net during the one day event which took place on Friday, July 21, 2017.

This brings the total amount raised in the history of the event to more than $5.6 Million Dollars.

To mark our special 25th anniversary, we have pledged $1 million towards Stevenson Memorial Hospital's "Transforming Stevenson" Campaign and SHINE (Shared Health Information Network Exchange): One Patient, One Record. As well we will continue to support the local Food Banks, Community Living Association of South Simcoe many more vital local charities and programs in Simcoe County.

This year's event included:

  • 469 Golfers (in both the Ladies 9-Hole Tournament and 45-Hole Open Tournament)
  • Over 630 Guests Attended the Dinner
  • Over 180 Live and Silent Auction items
  • 204 Hole Sponsors
  • 8 Hole in One Prizes (with chances to win a car or $15,000 cash)

"Once again, we are humbled by the generosity and support from our sponsors, participants and volunteers" said tournament organizers. "It is an amazing feeling to know that so many people in the community support The Nottawasaga Foundation and our ongoing initiatives."

The success continued into the evening with a spectacular buffet dinner for over 630 guests while Master of Ceremonies, our very own, Peter Biffis, entertained the crowd. More than 180 live and silent auction items offered a wide variety of products to bid on, tournament and special hole winners were announced and wrapping up the evening, a raffle draw for the first prize which was a $1500.00 Carlson Wagonlit Travel voucher.

"This extraordinary event wouldn't be at all possible without the generous contributions and support from all the sponsors, participants and of course the more than 125 volunteers. Thank you to everyone involved and the entire community for helping to ensure the continued success of this annual fundraiser event. We look forward to seeing the $351,000 raised at this year's tournament make a positive contribution towards so many worthwhile charitable groups in Simcoe County."
