This is a hands-on position requiring flexible availability including working weekends, late evenings and early mornings to coincide with business flows. This is NOT a week day, office hour's position.


Diploma or Degree or equivalent education in Hospitality. Minimum of 5 years experience as a Director of Operations, or 8+ years in a Senior Management position in Hotel Operations and strong Food and Beverage Director Experience. Previous work experience with private, family owned companies. A passion for providing guests exceptional experiences. A strong revenue management background. Four Star or equivalent experience in multi-faceted convention resort hotel with strong organizational skills and a demonstrated ability to lead by example. Highly energetic, self motivated, decisive, responsible and capable of working under stressful conditions, while consistently demonstrating a high degree of professionalism. Strong technical skills. Excellent time management skills. Strong customer service orientation and skills. Exceptional detail and follow-up. Excellent budgetary, projections and cost control skills. Golf Course Superintendent


Nottawasaga Resort is now hiring for the position of Head Golf Superintendent for the upcoming 2020 golf season. Nottawasaga Resort is an all season Resort featuring a 269 room hotel, multiple restaurants, full service conference facilities, an onsite twin pad hockey arena, 2 professionally groomed soccer fields, a 70000 sq. foot fitness facility and 2 championship golf courses. The successful applicant will be a highly motivated individual who will be responsible for the overall maintenance of all the golf courses, the practice areas and general Resort property.

Expected responsibilities to include:

  • Supervising and assisting in all maintenance programs and day to day turf operations.
  • Supervising irrigation and irrigation maintenance for golf courses and Resort properties
  • Assisting in the application and usage of pesticides and fertilizers as well as developing an annual plan for chemical and fertilizing use.
  • Being an effective role model, communicator and leader who will set a positive example to all employees and guests.
  • Supervising the training of new and returning staff on job functions as well as the care and safety of all maintenance equipment
  • Assisting in the recruitment of new employees
  • Frequent communication with the Director of Golf to discuss plans, customer feedback, events.
  • Proper record keeping and logs for water usage, fertilization and chemical applications
  • Performing other duties as required.

Full time, year around.

  • Minimum of 5 years turf grass related experience at a golf course facility or similar property.
  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience at a golf course facility or similar property.
  • Turf Management Diploma or equivalent
  • Must hold a valid Ontario Landscape Pesticide Application License and have experience in fertilizing and pesticide application
  • IPM Certification & Accreditation.
  • Experience with Toro irrigation systems an asset. The applicant will also be able to troubleshoot and resolve irrigation issues.
  • Knowledge of expense management and budgeting.
  • High attention to detail and highly organized.

Recreation, Team Building & Programs Manager


You will be responsible for all aspects of the Club's operations, ensuring a safe, clean and welcoming environment including consistent implementation of policies / procedures. While overseeing operations, you will strive to maintain high standards of member and guest service in accordance with the Hotel's philosophy. This position encompasses a wide variety of departments which the manager is responsible for:

  • Sales - Lead the development and growth of the LeisureDome through sound Sales, Marketing and Service strategies, club image and member awareness enhancement across all major target groups.
  • Our Fitness Club has many local members in addition to hotel guests and we offer a wide variety of fitness, aquatic and spin classes.
  • Our Aquatics dept. offers swimming lessons from "Parents & Tots" up to NLS programs.
  • Our Programs dept. offers summer camps, comprehensive March Break programs, seasonal programs, special events, and much more…
  • You oversee our efficient cleaning staff responsible for the pristine condition of our 70,000 leisure facilities.
  • Our sports desk reception is "Recreation Central" and the hub of all activity.
  • You develop, coordinate and facilitate Team Building activities for Convention groups.

Flexibility regarding hours of work is essential.


The successful candidate must be a detail orientated team player with a degree in Recreation, Physical Education, or related field with 3-5 years experience in a club management & sales capacity (including aquatics, fitness & memberships) and have excellent sales skills. Forward planning capabilities, motivation and leadership skills are also essential. Standard First Aid and CPR required. Team building activity experience an asset.
