Swim Lessons

Whether you are learning to swim or simply looking to brush up on your stroke and technique, we offer a full range of private and semi-private swimming lessons which are designed to help you meet your unique and specific needs.

Our certified instructors provide instruction based on the comprehensive Swim for Life program which stresses in-water practice to develop solid swimming strokes and skills for learners of all ages and abilities. Swim for Life is accessible, flexible, success-oriented and fun!


Bronze Medallion & Bronze Cross Course Starts February 21

Bronze Medallion: Challenges the candidate both mentally and physically. Judgment, knowledge, skill, and fitness – the four components of water rescue – form the basis of Bronze Medallion training. Candidates acquire the assessment and problem-solving skills needed to make good decisions in, on, and around the water. INCLUDES FIRST AID CERTIFICATION.Bronze Medallion is a prerequisite for assistant lifeguard training in Bronze Cross. Prerequisite: Minimum 13 years of age or Bronze Star certification (need not be current). Total hours: 15.

Bronze Cross: Begins the transition from lifesaving to lifeguarding and prepares candidates for responsibilities as assistant lifeguards. Candidates strengthen and expand their lifesaving skills and begin to apply the principles and techniques of active surveillance in aquatic facilities. Bronze Cross emphasizes the importance of teamwork and communication in preventing and responding to aquatic emergencies. INCLUDES FIRST AID CERTIFICATION. Bronze Cross is a prerequisite for advanced training in the Society's National Lifeguard and leadership certification programs. Prerequisite: Bronze Medallion. Total hours: 20.

Course will run February 21-26, 2023. Cost for the course is $228 and will be held at the Nottawasaga Resort in Alliston. Hours: February 21, 22, 23 from 5:30-9:30. February 25, 26 from 12-8:30pm.

Please note attendance is mandatory on all days. You will also require the "Canadian Lifesaving Manual" which can be purchased for $50 / each. Tax extra.

National Lifeguard Certification Course Starts March 21

Do you have a love of the water and you're looking to turn that passion into a career? Take the step towards becoming a lifeguard with the National Lifeguard Certification Course that we're running from March 21 - April 2, 2023. 100% attendance is mandatory.

Qualified aquatic personnel are frequently in high demand and the National Lifeguard training program is designed for lifesavers who wish to obtain a responsible job and leadership experience. Through National Lifeguard training participants will develop a sound understanding of lifeguarding principles, good judgment, and a mature and responsible attitude towards the lifeguard's role.

National Lifeguard certification is Canada's professional lifeguard standard. National Lifeguard training develops a sound understanding of lifeguarding principles, good judgment, and a mature and responsible attitude towards the lifeguard's role. National Lifeguard training emphasizes prevention and effective rescue response in emergencies including first aid treatment. Candidates develop teamwork, leadership and communication skills. Fitness requirements include a timed object recovery, 50m sprint challenge, 50m rescue drill and 400m endurance challenge. Successful candidates are certified by the Lifesaving Society - Canada's lifeguarding experts.

You must be a minimum of 15 years of age and have Bronze Cross certification and Standard First Aid certification from one of the following: Lifesaving Society, St. John Ambulance, Canadian Red Cross, Canadian Ski Patrol. (Certification doesn't need to be current.)

Course will run March 21 - April 2, 2023. Cost for the course is $350 and will be held at the Nottawasaga Resort in Alliston. Hours: March 21, 22, 23 from 5:30-9:30pm. March 26 from 12-8:30pm. March 28, 29, 30 from 5:30-9:30pm. April 2 from 12-8:30pm.

Please note attendance is mandatory on all days to obtain the certification. You will also require "Alert: Lifeguarding in Action" and the "Canadian Lifesaving Manual" both of which can be purchased for $50 / each. Tax extra.
